Celeb Style- Emma Roberts

Emma Roberts is mainly known for being Julia Robert's niece ,acting in chick flicks and her singing career (Yes, in that order.)

But one more thing worth noticing about her is her sense of style, and so this post is  a sort of (FUN) detailed thesis on it.

Her way of dressing is pretty casual which can be easily incorporated in your daily wear. She likes to keep it simple without compromising on the style quotient .You can tell that she doesn't intend to be a trendsetter and definitely plays safe but the whole look comes off very well.

It definitely strikes a chord with me because I’m very reluctant to experiment myself and it takes a lot of courage for me to wear something out of my comfort zone.  To me  it’s really satisfying to see  her play very safe and still not look ordinary or boring. Her signature style would be skinny jeans with a loose jumper and a satchel and can usually be seen dressing this way when she is out on the streets

 

RED CARPET

Moving on to some of her red carpet outfits,  you can see  they also are usually very easy to carry and not over the top . Again you do not see her experiminenting very often. A dress with high heeled pumps and some minimal jewelry would pretty much be her formal look. 

Among her red carpet looks my two personal favourites will have to be these 

 The blue belt on the waist breaks the monotony of this otherwise plain dress. The print is beautiful and the dress fits her at all the right places. It is so well tailored that you cannot possibly go wrong with it.

Here she is seen wearing not her usual kind of outfit and definitely not something we are used  to seeeing on her. While not being over the top it doesn't fail in catching your attention.The outfit is neither too experimental nor  a complete u turn from her natural style. It's a fresh change .

Another wonderful thing about style is that she is very  often spotted wearing high street brands such as  ASOS which is just  so great because it reminds  us mortals  that you need not  be wearing designer stuff  to be noticed for your style. 

For her television appearances too I feel she dresses really appropriately for her age and opts for outfits that are more cute than sexy.  

GET HER LOOK

Dressing the way she does is pretty simple and involves mainly basic clothing items that all of us own . A skinny jean , some slouchy T-shirts, throw in some peroxide and you can definitely be her doppelganger!

The second outfit is so easy to replicate. A simple white tee and black skinnies are something we all have in our wardrobe.

Out Misfit!

Even with stylists and designer brands at your disposal you could still go wrong. And so some  of her looks that I don’t exactly dig would be

With a tiny frame of 5 3’ its hard to pull of this maxi dress and she definitely wasn’t successful. The outfit ends up looking pretty drab.

A failed attempt at wearing an overall print.  She ends up looking funny which I’m sure wasn’t the look she was going for. The length of the pants is particularly odd ( to me at least)

SPECIAL MENTION

This outfit receives a special mention mainly because it is executed with such sophistication . Layering a monochrome outfit is extremely tricky and could end up looking very plain or boring. But this outfit hits the right balance between classy and fun .  It doesn’t look like there is too much going on even when there is. And lastly the red lips act as an icing to this cake.
